Sector La Coromoto

Sector Coromoto

Recently a team of Tropical Andes Program Foundation addressed the Coromoto, located in the western sector of Canaguá. Our visit was motivated by several people of the Peoples of the South, who commented several times on the attractiveness of the place and the tourism potential it has.

A community Coromoto accessed by two routes, the main one is about 700 meters after the exit of Canaguá via El Molino. The other is via Guaimaral by a sector known as El Valle de la Cruz.

The main route starts with the crossing of the creek the corner through a bridge. The first kilometer of road is cemented, is the steepest part of the area, then the road is ground to its end.

The tour covers about 3.5 km and the landscape is dominated by extensive sun coffee plantations. The few houses in the community are lost in the coffee plantations and broken Coromoto with us all the way always to the left. Near the end of the road near a tributary of the Coromoto, we find the Trout the Quebradita, named after the small creek that runs alongside it and gives life to the trout grown. Excellent location

The place has an excellent location, the trout farming serve as the boundary between the productive landscape of the area and large tracts of untouched cloud forest and high biodiversity value.

The trout farming in the Coromoto (Canaguá)

The trout farming was designed and built by Mr. Neptalí Mora and his wife, providing food when the trout are plentiful and aim to transform the place to welcome tourists. Mr. Naphtali, as a good Southerner, is a man very much related to the nature that surrounds it. He, along with neighboring Coromoto has participated in reforestation projects and their work is visible. His house is a compendium of all possible building materials, wood is mixed with adobe blocks, cement and adobe, a matter which makes it even more attractive.

Mr. Neptalí showed interest in participating in the project. He has tried several times to create a tourism network with several service providers in the area but the efforts have not borne fruit. In their view, the weakness has been lack of commitment, technical advice, training and funding to finalize the plans.

Neptalí hope that Mr. Mora was a team that is taking shape to create a network of community tourism in the Peoples of the South, which has all the qualities needed to strengthen the group and ensure the success of the project.

Ten years in prison for "insulting" the Internet for Thai monarchy

  • Suwicha Thajor, 37, accused of crimes of treason.
  • The authorities traced the messages that had been published.
  • Thailand has a panel to seek such feedback.

Bangkok A Thai court has sentenced to ten years imprisonment a man who made comments on the Internet that Justice considered "insulting" to the monarchy and therefore constitute a crime of lese-majeste.

Suwicha Thajor, 37, was arrested last January after Police traced and discovered messages that were sent from his personal computer found in his home province Nakhon Phanom's, in northeastern Thailand.

The sentence was reduced from 20 to 10 years because he pleaded guilty Suwicha

"He went to prison because he found the messages on the Internet, which had been published by him," said Pichit Nondasuwan, a prosecutor of the case, Reuters news agency.

Suwicha's sentence was reduced from 20 to 10 years because he pleaded guilty to two counts of lese majeste, he added.

The

of lese majeste is a very serious crime in Thailand , where many people go to King Bhumibol Adulyadej as being quasi-divine.

The generals who ousted Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in 2006 alluded to his alleged disrespect for the Crown, among other reasons.

According to British newspaper Telegraph, the Government has closed 4,800 web pages, most of them accused of insulting the monarchy. The authorities have a special force against such sites.
