Pcod More Condition_symptoms
BY SOUTH ROAD
A look of humility and charm in the child farmer, the devoted mother, the young man full of hope and the wise old man, guardian of the history of my country, a tradition that survives in the deep faith of our people is what has motivated me every Sunday has published in this diary page: "For the ways of the South." Walking
villages in the south of Merida is find a treasure hidden in the mountain, with its spring landscapes, abundant crystal clear waters, noble, friendly people, a forger of history woven with the wisdom of humility, of hard work and the living tradition of religiosity marked popular sentiment in our region.
Each of these accounts and stories have been collected during my visits, meetings, breeding and training, in an entertaining book of the same name, sponsored by the Culture and Extension Universidadde the Andes, in the person of Prof. Orlando Chacon, who make public my eternal gratitude, and has Talleres Gráficos University, in the person of Ms InésMuñoz, for their dedication to the correction, editing and assembling this publication.
The book contains six chapters. The first chapter, entitled "The past of our town", is a look back to our southern land, evoking memories of its founding and its relationship with and dependence on capital Mérida, shows the value of these events featuring brave men of yesterday are today proud perennial for future generations, and refers to the old stories that never fail and are now legend in the history surmerideñaEl second chapter, "Knowing the Surmerideño" is a tour of the parishes that make up the largest regional municipality of Mérida State, including geo-political description of each of its seven parishes: Mucutuy, Mucuchachí, Chacanto, El Molino, Capurí, Guaimaral and Canaguá. The third chapter, The Church and the Peoples of the South "is dedicated, as an act of gratitude to all the tireless pastors of our Church who, coming as doctrinaire or runners, priests, pastors or just as famous, were the most great witness of faith, progress and transformation of all southern communities, from the preaching of the Gospel to the opening of roads, establishment of hospitals and schools, as well as any good work that would benefit from improved quality of life in this region. Comments About the Book "On the Road South"
This title has just published his first literary work, the Fr. Edduar Molina Escalona, \u200b\u200bofficial historian of Canaguá in Southern Peoples Merida. Sponsored by the ULA edited out of the workshops beautiful university worthy of the content format, filled with photographs of ombudsmen and landscapes of the mountains. In a sober but elegant, with touches of erudition, takes us through the Peoples of the South to tell its origins, its traditions, its ancient history and new. Reading it reminded me of my first years of priesthood I met a mule across the region. It was in the last pastoral visit of Archbishop José Humberto Quintero, fifty years ago, when accompanied by Fray Indalecio P Garcia Santibanez and Redemptorist, spent two months in evangelizing those peoples. It was then wild life and very few modern resources covering the generosity of the people and the P Edduar able to express in documents and canagüera childhood experiences. In my collection of anecdotes I remember arriving at Guaraque, the southern door, the pastor had prepared a greeting to the Archbishop and a beautiful young woman with panache and started reading it instead of saying excrementísimo Excellency Archbishop said, and then said: very nice accompaniment, 10 pavonia us young clerics. Religiosity, the chronicler informs us, comes from the Augustinians but it is an unforgettable work of P Noguera Adonai, whose name now holds a parish and the Archbishop Chacón Municipality. He was famous then the team of Henry P Moreno, P. Barillas and Alarcon until it was "the hero of the mountain" P. Eustorgio Rivas, who led the first jeep and the radio and discovered the Caparo, which left us narratives in several books, citing the author of his predecessor in the writings of people surmerideños. Eustorgio Aricagua native was my first parish Ditches and El Morro, which closed the priests adventure runners, carrying the first jeep Cayapa as community work, as did the P Crescencio Mucutuy Parra, P Arias in Pueblo Boanerges New Uzcátegui in El Morro. Mons Marquez on several occasions has expressed a desire for recognition in these cures bronze villagers whose stories are attached to the "Tales of Nono" Ramon Sosa. Among them is a boy who looked after the mules Bobito and brought the Jeep to get some grass to eat at night, and of course I noticed that also urinated on the distilled water radiator. I could not escape the pen of the chronicler canagüero Noguera Chanito figures and their relatives and Orlando Naphtali who gave luster to the land as regional authorities, diplomats and famous entrepreneurs. Father tells interesting things Edduar about the customs and traditions of indigenous peoples in times of Christmas and Easter in art and culture, dishes, music and poetry peasant. And reminds the P Castillo and Manuelito, I remind you that Capurí not forget a young priest and crazy it was crucified on Good Friday and from the Cross preached the seven words, nor the pilgrimages of the Virgin of Fatima with Bishop Pulido sick and mystical parranditas family home and Molina Sosa, whose members are officials in this city famous for the Knights. Alexis Montilla ever told me about a possible movie of these people with these adventures and landscapes that could give new trophies, and give us new reasons to attract many tourists. A thousand congratulations to P Edduar and many thanks for that gift in my golden jubilee of priesthood. Mérida, November 2008

The Good Shepherd: A seminal work in El Molino "
A voice crying in the southern mountains, a hope for the people of God's pilgrim people in the southern sections, was undoubtedly the evangelizing and transforming a fruitful decade since the year 1987 to 1997 met the Sisters of the Good Shepherd in the beautiful town of El Molino, a land rich in agriculture and Christian faith. Daughters of St. Mary Euphrasia surmerideño hit the ground, thanks to the pastoral concern and vigilance of our unforgettable Archbishop Miguel Antonio Salas and dear daddy Castillo, concerned about religious services in these communities, in turn, looking prophetic be seedlings and cultivation priestly and religious vocations. How to forget the "Archbishop missionary, serving our farmers at Christmas or Easter, a worthy example of devotion and discipleship. It was 1987 when the sisters were received, an entry which Paul of Tarsus to the early Christian communities, they were the Pilar Montes, Martha Duque, Ana Maria Gomez, founder of a work that still speaks the time. That day we saw faces filled with joy and hope, so would the speaker of God and his kingdom will do this in the monotonous and simple country life. Then joined the other tireless work of God, Elvira Ines Alzate, Sr.. Marina Montes, Auralila, Ana Maria Delia, Fidelis and Martha Villegas, now superior of the community of the Good Shepherd in Venezuela. An old "home parish" was fitted with the help of all, to serve as the home of her sisters, as well as for all the peasant girls, coming to receive it almost impossible for them: their studies. For the low literacy was prevalent in almost the entire population. To them must complete basic education and most importantly the large enrollment that led in every corner of their villages. As to "strike the street" were the sisters with their kids to achieve this dream. The religious work was complemented by the pressing social mission. One of the major problems they found was the food, most scarce and the few existing at exorbitant prices, so they set out to answer, sacks of food, including rice, sugar, flour, etc., distributed to families in kilos disadvantaged, solidarity and fair priced. Thus was born the great work: Cooperative, led by Sister. Pilar Montes, in the whole process of formation and consolidation, as a meeting of the "poorest of the poor" to take all necessary for the basic basket and even a funeral home in case of death. Even to have given up ground to be established. Within this cooperative economy worked "barter", which brought a product is exchanged for another of your family need. True mission of transforming the social reality of the Gospel. Another great fight was the restoration of the chapel, giving us a work worthy of divine worship, artistic and religious heritage of all surmereñidad. As "Good Shepherd", attended the celebration of the mysteries of faith, not only in the Chapel of the Virgen del Carmen, but went to the Communities, creating a beautiful catechesis in the novenas for the dead, providing care to the sick, catechesis of children, founding 18 groups of the Legion of Mary for all villages, any permanent human and Christian promotion of the southern homeland. In the grateful memory of the sisters pass names like Professor, Omar Gomez, of happy memory, Armando Gomez, Carmen Bustamante, María Engracia, Ana Rodríguez, Quiterio Mora, Horacio Carrero, Elijah and Pastor Guzmán, among others, that as a one great team to help bring this work to give many fruits. Just as the spiritual guidance of the then parish priest and Numa Eduardo Contreras Molina. After ten years of presence and life in El Molino, the sisters must make the sad and painful decision to close the house, as most elderly and poor in vocations, but still survive today in the heart and grateful memory of our Christian southerners, to them our eternal gratitude and prayer for vocations are numerous make this dream reborn in the village of Molino. /
